Terms of Service

By using DwellingOS ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to enter contracts where you live.

DwellingOS is Total Home Management: a home profile, a system-health dashboard, a maintenance timeline, smart-device integration and booking with local service pros. The Service helps you organize and act — it does not replace your own judgment or professional advice (see Section 5).

The Service is currently offered as a preview. Booking checkout is simulated: no card is charged, no payment information is collected, and no real service appointment is created. When real payments launch, bookings will be governed by additional payment terms presented at checkout.

You're responsible for the information you enter — property details, task data, issue descriptions and photos — and for making sure you have the right to share it. Don't upload anything unlawful, or photos of other people or documents you don't have permission to share.

The AI Home Issue Advisor provides general guidance only. It is not a professional inspection, diagnosis or estimate, and it can be wrong. Never rely on it for anything involving gas lines, electrical panels, structural work, or any task that is dangerous or requires a licensed professional. If you smell gas, see sparking, have active flooding near electrical sources, or face any emergency, stop and contact your utility or emergency services first. You are responsible for deciding what work to attempt and for hiring qualified pros for the rest.

Don't misuse the Service: no attempts to breach security, no scraping or automated abuse, no submitting malicious files, and no using the Service to harass or defraud anyone. We may suspend access for violations.

DwellingOS, its name, logo and software are owned by DwellingOS. You keep ownership of the content you submit (your photos and descriptions); you give us a limited license to process that content solely to operate and improve the Service. Feedback you give us may be used to improve the product without obligation to you.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that AI advice will be accurate, or that any pro booking (once live) will result in satisfactory work — pro performance is the pro's responsibility.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DwellingOS will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages — including property damage, repair costs or lost data — arising from your use of the Service or reliance on its output. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed $100 or the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations; in that case they apply to the maximum extent permitted.

We may update the Service or these terms; significant changes to the terms will be announced in the app with a new "last updated" date. You can stop using the Service at any time, and we may discontinue or change features at any time.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
